Skyscraper: The Movie Review. How High Can It Get?
Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s SKYSCRAPER as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.
Hey world, it’s TndT again and this is a quick review on skyscraper.
While the plot is predictable, there are a few little twists here and there that defy expectations. We were not expecting much from this film, but as an action film it delivers the goods. We found it visually exciting and entertaining. If you are a fan of The Rock, of action movies with obscure plots and lots of crazy angles from really high up, this movie was definitely made for you. This movie has nice visuals and a lot of action. There are more than enough nail biting moment (please don’t bite of your fingers) that you might actually forgive the weak script. The movie is actually great because the star makes it so, he’s a soft heart in a rock hard body.
The problem this movie has is that it was trying so hard to top other action movies, then it ended up going off the rail. You’ve seen most of this before with a better villain and more common sense. It is not quite as much fun as it should be. We must say “Skyscraper” is not one of Dwayne Johnson’s best movies. The stunts are sanity defying.
THE SKY-HIGH TERRIBLE PART
This movie wastes the charisma of Dwayne Johnson and the only thing the movie has to offer is a tall building.
If you’re looking for a movie to blow your mind, I won’t really recommend this movie. But if you are an action and The Rock fan, you should probably see this movie.
We are rating this movie 5/10.
