[MUSIC REVIEW] Chinko Ekun came through with Able God

The ability or should I say capability of Chinko Ekun to deliver a hit song has never been in doubt, since his days at YBNL, he has proven to us that he has what it takes to deliver, it was only a question of when.

Since leaving YBNL, things haven’t really gone according to plan but the rap artiste has been able to stay consistent (which is key) through his different freestyle and cover. Yes, he has had some couple of decent song too, like Bodiga (ft. Reminisce) Eruku De, Gbefun, Wa Lo Da just to mention a few, still these songs hasn’t really gotten him to that level his is meant to be.

With Able God, I can beat my chest and tell you that Chinko Ekun fortune is about to change, after teasing his fans on social media with a snippet version of the song which features Lil Kesh and Zlatan Ibile, Chinko Ekun finally dropped what might be his biggest hit as far as this year is concern. As produced by Rexxie, this is a song that will be well accepted by the streets, as it is a song every hustle on the street can relate with and it’s also danceable. Like we all know, once a song his well-received by the streets then no doubt that song is a hit song already.

One thing that really surprise me on this song is the energy that Lil Kesh brought on the song, he had so much energy, I come begin wonder whether na Kesh get the song, I just hope say him go fit bring this same energy enter him own songs because these days na wetin dey miss from him songs be that and of course with lines likes tete connect ki wono le collect ko le ra ile see Lekki ko put e for rent, Zlatan Ibile made such his verse wasn’t found wanting. Though I have to say the instrumentals of this song is similar to that of Wande Coal’s Iskabba but then again this is a good song from Chinko Ekun and with the video dropping soon, I’m sure this song will elevate him.

My favourite line in the song is “no more insufficient funds and the rating will be 8/10.
